The military attack on Mae Sai left
the children in deep
fear and anxiety for their families and friends in Burma.
But in those days they wer not alone. They shared their
home with inhabitants from the Patak village, who all are
Shan refugees . As you can see on the photo from the
first day after the attack, children and village people
together watched the news on TV.
In the time of the border conflict
we hardly had any contact to Ngaow, Ann
and the children. We were anxious for the children as in that situation the
police didn't tolerate people from Burma at all. But in long and difficult
talks
with the police provincial government officials Ngaow could reach a positive
agreement with them
At the moment there are 21 children
living in the house. In the meantime we are able to taech them
ourselves at the house. So now the children don't have to be sent to DEPDC
with a motorcycle.
This saves us a lot of time and also money.
Here
some new photos, which together with many more, we will put into our photo
