Childlife-A future for street children in Mae Sai

Nasso, a cute little girl.
She was the first one, that made contact with me, already during the first
evening she said to me with a smile on her face “hey you” and sat on
my lap where she liked to be afterwards all the time

Nasso has a charm that
you simply can’t resist, as the youngest of all she is
also very cuddly.
Wherever I was, Nasso was with me, played somewhere close and from time to time sent me a smile, she felt
save near me and so did I. So it is not a surprise, that the most pictures I took are of Nasso. Especially Nasso understood, when I needed a timeout from sitting on my table with my papers and my calculator, thinking
about the situation. Then she talked to me and smiled at me or played under or next to the table. Or she
jumped on my lap and said “Hey, Bernd”and that helped.
But I also had to experience, that Nasso has her own sad story. When we gave out new donated cloth she got
a blouse and suddenly started crying out loud. A held her and hugged her and talked to her like to my own
children at home. She didn’t understand what I said, but she felt the comfort and calmed down. Ngaow told
me the following later on: Nasso, 5 years old, Lahu and Thai is here together with her 10 years old sister
Nacha. Their father is dead and the children lived with their mother on a dump. The mother of Nasso promised
her to go to Bangkok and to earn enough money to buy her pretty cloth. The day before Nasso got the
message, that her mom is in prison. That is what she thought about when she got the pretty blouse, from a
stranger, not from her mom as promised. Poor little Nasso, we love you.-Following more pictures of Nasso
