Childlife-A future for street children in Mae Sai
I am the 2nd chair man of the charity “Kinderleben Eine Zukunft für Strassenkinder in Mae Sai e.V..”. On the 18th of March 2002, I flew to Thailand to manage the final details for realizing the dream of Childlife Vision 2002. On Saturday, the 30th of March 2002 we celebrated

Apart from my duties as vice president, I am webmaster for this web page. On the 19th of
November 2000 I wrote the following text in our guest bo: (Extract of the complete text, which

Since today this page is in a first version now online. Hopefully by presenting
"Kinderleben Eine Zukunft für Strassenkinder in Mae Sai e.V.." in a clear structure it will
help visitors of this web page to understand my commitment.. As an absolute beginner many
hours of learning and creating were put into this web page to bring it to what it is today.
Concentration and focus was the key to bringing this project together. There was a special
difficulty when selecting the pictures to be displayed on the site, with a sad heart I became
aware of the contradictions of here and there.
At my visit from the 19th of March until the 2nd of April 02 I experienced the naked, truth. Pictures changed to
lives, children who talk, sing, laugh and cry - beautiful and special children whom nevertheless have been full of
suffering. I have grewn fond of them, they soon started to like me as well, and for the first moment I felt at
home. Initially I came to work for the project, but the whole work was among the
children. I became a member of a family of 50 children and 6 adults, a intact
family which was linked by a hard destiny. The small girls cried sometimes, but
when they were sitting in my arms they became calm by words spoken in a
language they couldn't even understand. Still they gave back what they received.
When I was sitting with a sorrowful face, counting how to finance the whole thing,
they were there. They played right in front of me, smiled at me, spoke to me in
their language. This is what gives me the inspiration to do everything in my power
to ensure they are still smiling in the future
As a human being I was allowed to experience in these two weeks so much, and my emotions were deeply
touched. I have got the suitable pictures for these feelings, but as a webmaster I am lacking the words, which
would truly represent what I have felt. Step by step I will try to document these 14 days in words and pictures,
though I will only take links from here to the relating reports
