Childlife-A
future for street children in Mae Sai
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Background:
The current house originally had been rented for one year
only and the bank(as owner) would like to sell it and out of this reason refuses any long-term tenancy agreement. A neighbour in particular tries hard to get rid of the project, this argument strains the project. Yet to obtain official recognition the authorities are asking for a at least five year tenancy agreement, which can't be obtained for the current house. The current house's capacity limit already has been reached or even exceeded, the available space is insufficient to accommodate the children properly. |

| But a neighbour and
friend of Childlife is willing to rent out his property, that encompasses 6 hectares. He also would help with the construction work and with preparing the soil for fieldwork, He furthermore would provide the machinery and agricultural tools for free Childlife also would be able
to make use of two fish ponds
and some ducksa and cows as well. The rent would be
40.000 Baht per year ca. 1.055 Euro A tenancy agreement for five years is offered too. The magnification( click at it) shows further details, the following sketches show some of the buildings planned.. |

The costs for material, bus
bar, wages for work that only can be done by trained men and some labourers
would amount to approximately 600.000 Baht = approximately 16.000 Euro.
These costs would be incurr step by step and partly would be variable in time |

The planned construction, usage of traditional, natural materials offers the opportunity to hire local labourers, who otherwise are. Unemployed. The usage of natural resources and alternative renewable energies is planned as long as the costs remain within the budget limit.
